Havana Good Day Yet?

Drink on, mis hermanos y hermanas. The following Cuban import is deliciously refreshing break from the Daiquiris and Margaritas you already know and love. To date, its the favorite.

WEEK 6:

Cuban Sidecar
1 ounce light rum
1 ounce Cointreau
1 ounce Fresh lime juice
Twist of lime

Shake ingredients with ice, Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Squirt some lime and drop in the peel.

Often the most expensive ingredient in the most famous cocktails, Cointreau is a crystal clear spirit made from sweet and bitter orange peels. Beyond that, we cannot say more...under penalty of death. But we can tell you, it's delicious and it's worth the investment. However, if you don't have any on hand and you're not yet convinced you should, you can always substitute Triple Sec for a tasty alternative. The key in this one is lots of ice in the shaking process. Without it, the lime juice can be overpowering, and besides, no one likes a warm drink in the sun. Drink up!
