Adrift in a Sea of Booze

You're in a fog of straight liquor and beer, unable to find the land of cocktails. Then the foghorn sounds...

WEEK 10:

Foghorn
2 ounces gin
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
3 to 5 ounces chilled ginger beer
Lime wedge

Pour the gin and lime juice into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Top if off with ginger ale and gently stir. Add a squeeze of lime juice from a wedge, then add the wedge.

No shaker needed. No complicated mixing. No hard-to-come-by ingredients. The Foghorn is simple and refreshing. As fans of anything with 3 ingredients or less, this is one has won the approval of ScapeGoat Ink. As with any lime-juiced beverage, the key is freshness. If you substitute a lime juice concentrate, you might find yourself overwhelmed by the sour flavor. Then again, you might prefer the sour kind. And if you prefer a sweeter drink, simply add for ginger beer. It's a drink to suit everyone.
