Double the Fun!
This week's drink is dedicated to one of life's toughest choices—-blonde, or brunette? We've all encountered this quandary enough to know it's not an easy choice to make. Sometimes you're in the mood for something light and fun. While other times you crave something slightly darker and more mysterious. Well, who says you can't have both?
WEEK 30:
Black and Tan
6 ounces lager or pale ale
6 ounces stout
Slowly pour the lager into a chilled beer mug, and then slowly add the stout.
We have a fondness for the Irish, which is why we choose Harps and the always delicious (and "good for you!") Guinness to play the role of the blonde and brunette. There is a trick to keeping the two separate, which is why a masterfully poured Black and Tan is one that does not alarm the lager of the stouts presence, allowing you to enjoy both at the same time, guilt free. The trick is in the pour. After you've added the lager, slowly pour the stout over the back of a spoon to keep the two from mixing. If you've ever had a poorly made Black and Tan, you'll understand the importance of this step. Now stop trying to choose between the two because, tonight, you're going to enjoy a blonde and a brunette. If this doesn't count as a threesome, it should!
